Granted patent in December 10, 2019Patent #10,501,943 B1 Systems and methods for installing natural wood flooring. Abstract: “systems and methods directed to the art of installing flooring include untreated/unfinished flooring planks having a hardwood top surface delivered to a jobsite and including improved thickness tolerances and/or top surface comparative coefficients of friction.” Like pre-sanded, wire brushed, hand scraped, distressed, foot worn, smooth to a specific grit of sand paper or machine tool head.https://patents.justia.com/patent/10501943Since I promoted the progress of science and useful arts, a new and useful invention. Where I now own the intellectual property rights for raw/unfinished/untreated wood flooring. No large sanders required with all that dust and time.35 U.S.C. §103. One of the main requirements of patentability in the U.S. is that the invention being patented is not obvious, meaning that a "person having ordinary skill in the art" (PHOSITA) would not know how to solve the problem at which the invention is directed by using exactly the same mechanism.
Constitutionally, the non-obviousness requirement is established by Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8: "The Congress shall have the power … to promote the Progress of Science .., by securing for limited Times to … Inventors the exclusive Right to their … Discoveries".
The Progress of Science requirement constitutionally validates the pragmatic approach to non-obviousness described below. The word Discoveries establishes the level to which the contribution to the Progress of Science must rise to deserve the temporary monopoly.[22]
I showed non obvious that anyone in the original arts of installing natural wood floors that sands, stains and finishes on site. That they are all easily capable of doing my system that has many advantages in the building industry! "Non-obviousness" is the term used in US patent law to describe one of the requirements that an invention must meet to qualify for patentability, codified in 35 U.S.C. §103. One of the main requirements of patentability in the U.S. is that the invention being patented is not obvious, meaning that a "person having ordinary skill in the art" (PHOSITA) would not know how to solve the problem at which the invention is directed by using exactly the same mechanism. Since the PHOSITA standard turned to be too ambiguous in practice, the U.S. Supreme Court provided later two more useful approaches which currently control the practical analysis of non-obviousness by patent examiners and courts: Graham et al. v. John Deere Co. of Kansas City et al., 383 U.S. 1 (1966) gives guidelines of what is "non-obvious", and KSR v. Teleflex (2006) gives guidelines of what is "obvious".Historical developmentEditSee also: Copyright ClauseConstitutionally, the non-obviousness requirement is established by Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8: "The Congress shall have the power … to promote the Progress of Science .., by securing for limited Times to … Inventors the exclusive Right to their … Discoveries". The phrase to promote the Progress of Science defines the purpose of the patent system, which is to encourage private investments into fundamental science research rather than to grant monopoly on something that is taken from a public domain (or on something that limits the opportunities for doing research, e.g. research tools are not patentable). The Progress of Science requirement constitutionally validates the pragmatic approach to non-obviousness described below. The word Discoveries establishes the level to which the contribution to the Progress of Science must rise to deserve the temporary monopoly.[22]My system is that my products of wood flooring doesn’t need any rough sanding with large, expensive sanding machines. The top surface is already ready for stain and finish with many options of top surfaces like; plainer heads, scraper blades, saw blade marks, wire brush heads with multiple textures/ grits/ distressing/striking of different kinds to put dents, scratches, and many more. You install, buff, stain and finish. Eliminating time, strenuous work, dust, large expensive heavy machines, headaches of chatter, halos, waves, and so much more for on site finishing. And all the issues it helps to solve with pre-finished, like being able to repair, re-coat, touch up, getting more wood later to repair or do another room and having die lot color and sheen variations not matching. My system brings back jobs for on site finishing with the greenest products. The problem is pre-finished wood flooring wether solid or engineered costs less than raw/unfinished/untreated wood flooring that still needs to be sanded and finished on site after installation. Which costs more to sell. And now we lack on site finishing jobs.My process and products will help Stabilize the flooring industry like how at menards you see untreated/unfinished 2-1/4 solid 3/4 wood flooring that has to be sanded with large machines after install for 2.99 and across the isle you see white oak 2-1/4 solid 3/4 with a dark stain pre-finished for 2.58 per square ft. This has been our competition. And thats the same with engineered wood flooring selling for less than raw wood weather you buy it unfinished or pre-finished. This problem didn’t exist when natural wood flooring system was developed hundreds of years going back in time. This system was missed and could have been doing since I can date back to 1942 when the machines at the wood mills were advanced enough that Bruce hardwood flooring who was granted the patent for pre-finished wood flooring, was ordering wood from a wood mill and the wood mills never thought to patent that raw/untreated/Unfished wood floor products. Since than, my system could have been doing since than and every one in the building industry, flooring industry and even the national wood flooring association missed it and it’s common sense. My system solves so many issues in the flooring and building industry. And it also creates more jobs. Stabilizes the wood flooring industry, financially making sense.I am looking for help to get my valuable patent protected and commercialized.

Winner could be disqualified due to FBI background check. I have some nomination letters and working on getting more and hoping with going national with this that I will win as it’s the only way I won’t be disqualified.
You will see that everything I do will be to better the future and provide more jobs, while helping society with recidivism, victim impact, lower crime rate, better rehabilitation and use my story to give hope and lead by example!
Come, get to know me, there are so many great things I’ve accomplished and achieved. I am an artist. I love creating creative custom things weather it’s a hot rod, a home, custom furniture. Starting my first business in 2006 where I worked on cars, restoring bottom up on a 68 Pontiac. Learning from my dad who I believe has more talent than I do. I can do body and paint. Plasma cut and weld in quarter panels, old school style.
I can basically use any machine in any garage. I can run electrical, plumbing, sweating pipes, drywall, paint, where I have bought a property, remodeled and sold for asking price in the first week I listed it and had numerous offers. I teach my employees quality for all areas of building a home.
My greatest achievement is recognizing an art in the systems and methods of natural wood flooring. Showing that everyone in the building industry, weather it was engineers, architects, builders, Contractors, wood mills, the National Wood Flooring Association, everyone in the wood flooring industry, including Bruce Hardwood Flooring who attained the patent for pre-finished wood flooring missed my system where it could have been done since 1940 when pre-finished manufactures ordered a piece of raw flooring from wood mills and the wood mills nor Bruce Hardwood Floors nor anyone else had a patent to make or sell till I did.
Imagine back in caveman life where cutting wood was cut by sharpened rocks and later hand saws, table saws, molders to think everyone of those components were patented to produce quality wood products and plastic and metal. Plastic and metal were invented, but Wood wasn’t and when wood floors were put in back in time, they were just rough sawn, square edged flooring just like a rough sawn 2x4 and 2x6 and now come out and sold smooth.
I recognized my systems and methods in the flooring industry and during the time of my patent I recognized it in the building industry while building homes. Where you can purchase pre- wire brushed or distressed raw wood casing, base, shoe, crown molding, doors, furniture, like image being able to order an oak wire brushed or distressed kitchen cabinets that you can order to have your contractor paint or stain and finish before or after installation of any color you want. I continued my patent to achieve all that.
Learn more about me and what I have accomplished. Hear the prisons say I was a role model inmate. Helped other inmates learn how to read and write. What I wrote about restoring justice and how I was going to fight for my justice, how I would help make a difference if I had the opportunity and it seems like I believed and worked so hard building what I have and couldn’t for the past five years. I lead by example, and yeah I’m still not perfect.
I also have a commercial on one of my custom builders show where I put my patented flooring in there homes. It’s the first commercial of this show and it aired on CBS in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee area.
https://vimeo.com/430131807?ref=em-share
I have so much more to share and would love that opportunity and use my story to give hope to fight for for my life. Enough money to make changes in legislation and help make a difference and lead by example.

Due to my offense, I’m not eligible for SBA loans to grow my business. I was forced to take 48% loans when I hired a fireplace manager who started to do schemes and I ended up suing and forced to take bad loans because of how that hit took so long to cycle through by him taking pay from jobs and keeping the money and than had my company cover payroll to instal and the fireplace units. And after I bankrupted him and his son’s business they only went around spreading that I was a sex offender and lost all fireplace contracts as this had effectively damaged my business and myself.
I have hardly any loans and good credit and report good wages at the end of the year but don’t get the advantages as others. That even personal loans are effected by my offense. That the banks won’t give me anything unless it’s 48% loans, and yet if it’s just a light credit pull, it’s not seen that I was able to co-sign one of my 23 year old workers for 20,000 with no equity of any sort and was able to get that loan from his local bank. They didn’t even check my I.D. When I co-signed. And it’s only a 6% personal loan. I can prove all this with documents of taking two high interest loans where they were taking $1,600 out of my account every week and they were 50 and 90 thousand dollar loans.
